CC1 took part in the groundbreaking of Rach Mieu 2 bridge construction investment project


Construction Corporation No. 1 - Joint Stock Company (CC1) was selected to execute the package XL-01 under the construction investment project of Rach Mieu 2 bridge connecting Tien Giang and Ben Tre provinces. This project with a total investment of 5,200 billion VND was started on the morning of March 29, and is expected to be completed after three years. This is a project with the largest scale in coconut land, connecting the road traffic system in the coastal area of ​​the Mekong Delta.

Accordingly, the Joint Venture of Construction Corporation No. 1 - JSC and Thanh Phat Construction Joint Stock Company won the package XL-01 to build the section from Km0+000 - Km5+080 (including survey, blueprint design) construction drawings). Bidding package with a total length of 5.08 km section at Dong Tam intersection in Chau Thanh area, Tien Giang province. It can be said that the construction of roads and bridges has been one of the strengths of CC1 so far. Participation in the construction of the Rach Mieu 2 bridge project has once again proved CC1's capacity and prestige in the market.

Perspective of Rach Mieu 2 bridge, crossing the Tien River, connecting Tien Giang province and Ben Tre province.

Main bridge on Tien River, cable-stayed structure, nearly 2 km long, 21.5 m wide, 4 lanes, designed for 100 years of operation. The section of the bridge over the My Tho river is 456 m long, 4 lanes. Particularly, the road on the route has 4 lanes for cars, 2 lanes for mixed traffic, speed 80 km/h.
The project has 4 sub-bridges, each 20.5 m wide, including Xoai Hot, Ba Lai, Tam Son and Song Ma. About 62 hectares of land in Tien Giang and Ben Tre related to the project has been cleared.
The project was approved by the Ministry of Transport in September last year, using the Central budget, construction and equipment costs of more than 3,000 billion VND, the rest is for site clearance and project management.

Mr. Le Huu Viet Duc – General Director of CC1 spoke on behalf of the Contractor Consortium at the Groundbreaking Ceremony.

The project when completed (expected to be in 2025) will help reduce traffic congestion and accidents, and shorten the road traffic distance between Ho Chi Minh City and the provinces of Ben Tre, Tra Vinh, Soc Trang, and Bac Lieu, Ca Mau. In addition, this is also an important major project contributing to gradually improving the road network in the region; promote socio-economic development in Tien Giang and Ben Tre provinces in particular, in the Mekong Delta region and the whole country in general.

Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai issued an order to start construction of the Rach Mieu 2 bridge project.

At the groundbreaking ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai highly appreciated CC1's capacity and asked the Ministry of Transport to direct and accelerate the progress, ensure quality as well as inspection and supervision to promptly detect and handle problems during the project implementation.

The groundbreaking ceremony of Rach Mieu 2 bridge took place in Ben Tre on the morning of 29/3.

Rach Mieu 2 Bridge is considered as one of the key projects in the coastal area of ​​the Mekong Delta, which the Ministry of Transport will promote construction in 2022. With experience in implementing many key national traffic projects, CC1 confidently brings trust, safety and quality to each participating project.
