In early August, major construction sites seemed to come alive with renewed energy as the leadership of Construction Corporation No. 1 (CC1) directly visited the sites to inspect progress, listen to, encourage, and inspire the team of engineers and workers. This series of visits was not only a timely show of concern but also a strong message: CC1 is determined to maintain progress, quality, and workplace safety on all projects.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the Bien Hoa \u2013 Vung Tau expressway project, Mr. Le Bao Anh \u2013 General Director of CC1 \u2013 personally inspected both components undertaken by CC1. For component 1, CC1 is accelerating construction on the section from Km12+810 to Km16. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the past period, the unit has mobilized the maximum number of vehicles, equipment, workers, and materials, organizing continuous construction in "3 shifts, 4 teams," simultaneously deploying 7 road construction teams and 2 bridge construction teams. The Quan Thu Bridge has completed the girder installation and is urgently completing the remaining items, while Bridge 769 has completed 100% of abutment M2, completed bored piles for pier T1, and reached 50% of abutment M1, striving to complete the entire project before October 30, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Bui Ngoc Lam said: \u201cRoad construction is also proceeding urgently, taking advantage of favorable weather conditions to fill the land, with an average daily output of 4,000 to 6,000 m\u00b3. Simultaneously, the unit has transported and stockpiled crushed stone to be ready for the base course construction by the end of August 2025. Currently, the construction site maintains more than 220 vehicles and over 70 workers, all united in their determination to complete the project before December 19, 2025, as directed by the Prime Minister.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For component 2, progress is closely monitored and divided into key milestones. It is expected that the main embankment will be completed by September 10th; the embankment for the access roads and interchanges by September 15th; the crushed stone base course by October 30th; the cement-stabilized crushed stone base course by November 15th; and finally, the asphalt concrete paving by December 15th, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next, Mr. Le Bao Anh inspected the progress of the Tham Luong - Ben Cat - Nuoc Len canal renovation project. Despite facing numerous challenges such as material shortages, land clearance issues, prolonged rain, and limited transportation conditions, the site management team persevered. Notably, the construction campaign that continued throughout the Tet holiday helped the project meet the planned opening date for traffic on April 30th, creating a positive impact and contributing to enhancing the reputation of CC1.

At the Ho Chi Minh Highway project, specifically the Ch\u01a1n Th\u00e0nh \u2013 \u0110\u1ee9c H\u00f2a section, Mr. L\u00ea B\u1ea3o Anh personally inspected the progress and encouraged the team of engineers and workers on the construction site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, the unit is focusing on completing the section from Km76+492.25 to Km82+750 of package XL3, with 8 construction teams working simultaneously, 6 teams building bridge abutments and 2 teams building road sections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tien \u2013 Director of the Ho Chi Minh Highway project management board, Chon Thanh \u2013 Duc Hoa section, stated:\u201cThe biggest challenge of the project is the earthworks under conditions of prolonged rain, with excavated soil materials having high moisture and plasticity. To ensure progress, the project management team organized overtime shifts and flexible work schedules, employing a \u2018earthwork on sunny days, stonework on rainy days\u2019 approach. As a result, to date, 3.2\/6 km of asphalt concrete has been laid; 701 TP2T of crushed stone base has been completed; and the earthworks and selected materials at the bridge abutments have reached 801 TP2T.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Steering Committee is working closely with the Project Management Board and local authorities to expedite the clearance of remaining land areas, striving to complete the technical opening to traffic on November 25, 2025, and hand over the entire project in December 2025, fulfilling the commitment to the Government and the investor.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also in early August, Mr. Phan Huu Duy Quoc \u2013 Chairman of the Board of Directors of CC1 \u2013 took the time to visit the Khanh Hoa \u2013 Buon Ma Thuot expressway project site to encourage and acknowledge the efforts of the engineering and worker team, and to check the construction progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From now until August 20th, when the weather is favorable, the project will conduct trial paving of the semi-porous asphalt concrete layer, marking an important step in the completion phase.<\/strong><\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Regarding the bridge section, there are four bridges along the route, and all bridge decks have now been completed. Construction teams are urgently pouring concrete for the railings to ensure the overall progress of the project.<\/strong><\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe implementation process has faced many challenges such as land clearance issues, delays in granting permits for material mining and waste disposal sites, along with the impact of the rainy season. These factors have led to a scarcity of construction materials and the lack of designated waste disposal sites, directly affecting the progress. To compensate for the time lost, the entire construction site is working in three shifts, four teams, determined to complete the project on schedule.\u201d<\/em>"Mr. Nguyen Dinh Loi \u2013 Project Commander," said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Loi shared that the presence and direct encouragement of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of CC1 during the site visit was a great source of inspiration, boosting the morale of the entire team. \u201cThe team is truly moved and even more determined. The entire construction site is working in three shifts, four teams, striving to complete and put the project into operation at the beginning of 2026.\u201d<\/em>, he expressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Continuing his activities at various construction sites, Mr. Phan Huu Duy Quoc personally visited and inspected the progress of the Quy Nhon \u2013 Chi Thanh expressway project. Here, the contractor is focusing all efforts on the final 700 meters of the route, which coincides with National Highway 1A, simultaneously carrying out construction and ensuring traffic safety. The goal is to complete all main route components before August 30, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond simply sending well wishes and expressing deep gratitude to the construction team, the CC1 leadership's visit also conveyed a profound message: the spirit of adhering to deadlines, maintaining quality, and ensuring absolute safety. The leadership affirmed that each project CC1 undertakes is not just a construction item, but also a significant contribution to the development of the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Warm handshakes and sincere words of encouragement have empowered the engineers and workers on the front lines, while also spreading pride in the CC1 brand \u2013 a resilient collective that has silently "transformed the nation" for nearly half a century. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

August also marked several breakthroughs for CC1: on August 19th, the Phu Tho Circus and Multipurpose Performance Hall will be officially inaugurated; on the same day, the Rach Mieu 2 Bridge will be put into operation, 5 months ahead of schedule; and before that, on August 18th, the Quang Trach I Thermal Power Plant project was ready for the first oil firing of its first unit\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amidst the bustling construction pace of nearly 70 projects across the country, the image of CC1 leaders directly present at the construction sites is a strong commitment: always standing side-by-side with the team, igniting determination, and pushing each project to completion on time, safely, and efficiently, just as the Corporation has steadfastly pursued for the past 46 years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
