On August 19th, the Rach Mieu 2 Bridge \u2013 a key national project in which Construction Corporation No. 1 (CC1) participated \u2013 was inaugurated, finishing 5 months ahead of schedule. This achievement further affirms CC1's prestige and capabilities and demonstrates the rapid pace of construction that the company is simultaneously undertaking on many projects, including the pedestrian bridge across the Saigon River \u2013 a new symbol of Ho Chi Minh City.<\/b><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Pedestrian bridge over the Saigon River: Construction by CC1 is proceeding urgently, safely, and efficiently.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The pedestrian bridge project includes the following components: the main bridge, approach bridges and access roads, anti-collision pillars, traffic lighting system, demolition costs, riverbank embankment, and elevators.<\/span><\/p>

In this project, CC1 is responsible for the construction of the approach bridge and approach roads. The approach bridge utilizes reinforced concrete box girder and steel girder structures. The abutments are reinforced concrete on bored pile foundations, and the approach roads feature reinforced concrete retaining walls and reinforced retaining walls on cement-stabilized soil pile foundations (CDM).<\/span><\/p>

During construction, CC1 faced numerous challenges: many items were held up by land clearance issues; the construction drawings for the embankment had not yet been approved; and access roads were restricted in terms of timeframes. In addition, the site contained many hidden obstacles such as wooden piles, concrete, and layers of rock embankment, hindering the construction of bored piles, cement-soil piles, and underwater piers, thus affecting the progress.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Limited construction space and numerous underwater obstacles have hampered the progress of the pedestrian bridge across the Saigon River, but CC1 is still gradually overcoming these challenges and maintaining the construction pace.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The contractor's representative requested that the investor (Nutifood Company), the Project Management Consultant (My Thuan Project Management Board), and the supervision consultant promptly resolve the aforementioned issues so that the contractor can proceed with construction and ensure the project's progress.<\/span><\/p>

Regarding quality, to date, the consulting and supervision team has not recorded any violations or shortcomings. They also highly appreciate CC1's establishment and effective operation of the site safety committee, ensuring safe construction, thorough fencing, and cleanliness.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Every aspect of the construction site was meticulously implemented by CC1, with strict adherence to fencing, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Meanwhile, CC1 continues to strive to adhere to the schedule, gradually completing many important items. Mr. Nguyen Song Ky Hieu, representative of CC1, said that the unit has completed the construction of test piles for D800 bored piles (2\/2 piles); mass pile construction of 52\/74 piles; construction of 7\/19 concrete base and concrete foundation for abutments and piers; construction of test piles for cement-soil piles (CDM) completed 2\/4 piles; and construction of type 1 fence reached 100% (561 linear meters).<\/span><\/p>

In addition, CC1 has completed the stockpiling of construction materials, including the stockpiling of D1000 circular pipes (7\/7 sections), D600 circular pipes (1\/1 section), D400 pipes (10\/10 sections); and stockpiling of casing pipes for underwater pier construction (24\/24 casing pipes)...<\/span><\/p>

Every day, nearly 40 officials, engineers, and workers are on the construction site, working with about 13 pieces of equipment such as total stations, leveling instruments, excavators, pile drilling machines, cranes, barges, etc.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Undeterred by the hardships, the team of engineers and workers diligently worked with each drill and each block of concrete to maintain a safe and sustainable construction pace.<\/b><\/i><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Mr. Tran Van Thi, Director of the My Thuan Project Management Board, shared: \u201cI highly appreciate the efforts of contractor CC1 and the design and supervision consulting units during the construction of the pedestrian bridge project across the Saigon River. Although not a large-scale project, this bridge encompasses complex components and involves leading units in the field, requiring maximum standards and efficiency in every stage.\u201d<\/span><\/p>

The 400-meter-long, 4.5-meter-wide pedestrian bridge features a gracefully curved design constructed from lightweight steel, boasting a modern aesthetic with artistic lighting and a unique circulating waterfall. Beyond its function as a transportation link, the structure also promises to become a tourist attraction and a new public space for locals and visitors.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The pedestrian bridge across the Saigon River \u2013 a multi-billion dollar project \u2013 is gradually taking shape, becoming a new iconic landmark of Ho Chi Minh City.<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Over the past 46 years, CC1 has left its mark on a series of key bridges such as Thu Thiem, Dong Nai New, Van Thanh 2, Hoa An, An Hao\u2026 Each completed project not only connects two banks but also affirms CC1's position as a leading contractor in the field of bridge and road construction.<\/span><\/p>

In particular, the Thu Thiem Bridge \u2013 the first bridge built across the Saigon River after 1975, constructed by CC1 \u2013 was named at the ceremony announcing and honoring 50 outstanding construction projects and clusters of projects in Ho Chi Minh City on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the reunification of the country, in the transportation infrastructure category.<\/span><\/p>

Continuing in that spirit, from the Rach Mieu 2 project finishing 5 months ahead of schedule to the pedestrian bridge across the Saigon River currently under urgent construction, construction sites follow one another, bridge spans follow bridge spans, emphasizing the motto "Reputation - Quality - Efficiency" that CC1 has steadfastly upheld for nearly half a century.
