CONSTRUCTION BEGINS ON PACKAGE 11.5 – A NEW STEP FORWARD IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF LONG THANH AIRPORT

(Dong Nai, March 7, 2025) – Construction Corporation No. 1 – JSC (CC1) and the joint venture of Coteccons (CTD) and FECON (FCN) officially commenced the construction of “Package 11.5: Construction, equipment installation and preparation of construction drawings for the parking garage – Long Thanh International Airport Project – Phase 1”.

The groundbreaking ceremony for Package 11.5 of the Long Thanh Airport Project was held to pray for a smooth, safe, and successful construction process.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the investor – Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV), the consulting and supervision unit, the leadership of the contractors, and the team of engineers and project managers. This is an important milestone, launching an essential component in the overall project, contributing to ensuring the synchronization of infrastructure and operational efficiency when the airport becomes operational.

The CC1 engineering and project management team at the groundbreaking ceremony for Package 11.5 are ready for the journey of constructing a key national project.

Package 11.5 has a total value of over VND 3.144 billion, with an implementation period of 16 months from the commencement date. The parking garage is a crucial part of the overall Long Thanh Airport project, playing a supporting and synchronized role with the terminal, runway, and auxiliary infrastructure. With close coordination between the units, the project will be implemented according to a strict quality control process, using advanced construction solutions to improve efficiency and ensure the durability of the structure.

Previously, CC1 participated in the construction of “Package 5.10: Construction and equipment installation of the passenger terminal,” completing the roof structure in August 2024, overcoming numerous technical and schedule challenges, along with “Package 4.8: In-port traffic works and airport technical infrastructure,” with a total value of nearly VND 11,420 billion. Undertaking these large-scale contracts affirms CC1's key role in national key projects, contributing to the completion of the technical infrastructure and internal traffic system, ensuring the progress and quality of large-scale projects.

The groundbreaking ceremony was held in a solemn manner, affirming the commitment to safe, high-quality construction and on schedule.

Besides the Long Thanh airport project, CC1 also plays a key role in many other major infrastructure projects such as: Terminal 3 at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, the Ho Chi Minh City Circus Project, the Na Duong II Thermal Power Plant, the Dai Ngai 2 Bridge Project, the construction packages for Ring Road 3 in Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong, the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Project, the My Thuan 2 Bridge Package, the North-South Expressway (Eastern section, phase 2), and many other key transportation and energy infrastructure projects nationwide.
