The Can Tho – Ca Mau expressway project, one of the key projects on the Eastern North-South expressway route, is being implemented on schedule with the participation of Construction Corporation No. 1 – JSC (CC1).
Construction began in early 2023 on the nearly 111 km long expressway, with a total investment of over 27,500 billion VND and is expected to be completed by December 30, 2025. Once operational, this expressway will provide faster connectivity between Ho Chi Minh City and Ca Mau, shortening travel time, reducing pressure on National Highway 1A, and creating a strong impetus for socio-economic development in the Mekong Delta region.
After more than two years of construction, the project has reached 68% progress, with all items implemented by CC1 closely adhering to the set plan. As one of Vietnam's leading general contractors, CC1 has demonstrated its capabilities through a series of projects such as the North-South Expressway, Long Thanh Airport, Tan Son Nhat Terminal 3, and many other key national projects.
