On the morning of October 27, 2023, CC1 participated in the Opening Ceremony of the National Workers' Football Championship – Binh Dinh Region at the Binh Dinh Provincial Military Command Stadium.
Attending the Opening Ceremony were Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Colonel Do Xuan Hung - Commander of the Binh Dinh Provincial Military Command, along with leaders from various departments and agencies in the locality. On the Organizer's side, there was Mr. Nguyen Manh Kien - Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Deputy Head of the tournament organizing committee; journalist Nguyen Phan - Editorial Board Member, General Secretary of the Editorial Board of Tuoi Tre newspaper, and the participation of hundreds of workers and fans from various enterprises.
The National Workers' Football Championship 2023 is co-organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Tuoi Tre newspaper, and the Vietnam Football Federation. The event aims to encourage and support workers and employees to engage in physical training, thereby enhancing their physical and mental well-being. It also contributes to improving productivity, ensuring effective labor, and promoting the economic development of both localities and the nation. Furthermore, this tournament stands as the largest-scale activity to celebrate the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for the term 2023-2028, which is scheduled to take place in Hanoi in early December 2023.
The tournament took place in the group stage across 8 regions nationwide from September to October 2023. The 8 teams that emerged as champions in the group stage earned the right to compete in the final round, scheduled to be held in November 2023 in Binh Duong province. Before arriving in Binh Dinh, the National Workers' Football Championship 2023 had been underway for nearly 2 months, passing through various regions: Hai Phong, Nghe An, Can Tho, Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, and Quang Nam.
Right after the opening ceremony, the matches kicked off at 7:30 AM. On the first day of competition, there will be six matches, before entering the final round in the morning of October 28. The semi-finals will take place in the afternoon of October 28, and the finals will be held on the afternoon of October 29.
CC1 is currently participating in two packages under the Component Project of constructing the Bac Nam Eastern phase 2021 – 2025, including the sections: Quy Nhon – Chi Thanh and Chi Thanh – Van Phong. In addition, Tuoi Tre newspaper, the official mouthpiece of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, is one of the organizing units of this tournament. Recently, CC1 and Tuoi Tre newspaper have established a strategic cooperation relationship, exploring the development potential of both parties. It is anticipated that Tuoi Tre newspaper will accompany CC1 in the program of sharing journalistic expertise with specialized personnel at CC1, organizing seminars, and various other training activities with CC1 in the near future. The National Workers' Football Championship 2023 serves as a wholesome platform for CC1 employees to strengthen camaraderie, unity, and bonds with the company and the local community where they work. It also demonstrates the strengthened collaborative relationship between CC1 and Tuoi Tre newspaper.
