Representatives from CC1 and YTL Construction took a commemorative photo after the working session on the afternoon of October 15th.

The meeting took place in an open and efficient atmosphere with the participation of the Board of Directors and representatives from various departments. Representing CC1 were Mr. Phan Huu Duy Quoc – Chairman of the Board, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khoi – Director of the Construction Economics Division, Mr. Le Thanh Liem – Assistant to the Chairman of the Board, Mr. Hoang Tan Duc – Assistant to the General Director, Mr. Huynh Ngoc An – Business Manager, Mr. Duong Xuan Sang – Head of the Technical Department, and Ms. Le Thi Bao Ngoc – Sales Specialist.

The presence of senior leaders from both sides, along with professional representatives, demonstrates a spirit of close cooperation and a willingness to work together to promote the progress and effectiveness of strategic coordination programs in the coming period regarding transportation infrastructure projects, especially urban rail (metro) and high-speed rail.

During the meeting, both sides introduced themselves and exchanged initial information about their businesses, exploring each other's capabilities and areas of operation, thereby paving the way for more suitable exchanges in the future.

Mr. Phan Huu Duy Quoc – Chairman of the Board of Directors – shared with partners about CC1's strengths as a leader in the transportation infrastructure construction industry.

On behalf of CC1, Mr. Phan Huu Duy Quoc provided an overview of the company's general contracting capabilities and its experience in constructing urban infrastructure projects, civil and industrial works, and key transportation projects throughout Vietnam.

The two sides exchanged views on trends in the development of modern transportation infrastructure, particularly potential cooperation opportunities in the Ho Chi Minh City Metro projects planned for the 2027 period, as well as the North-South high-speed railway line that the Government is planning to implement in the near future.

Mr. Yuan Yeoh – CEO of YTL Construction – introduced the company's experience and areas of operation to CC1.

In the metro sector specifically, CC1 has participated in the construction of underground stations and the production and supply of sleepers for Metro Line 1 (Ben Thanh – Suoi Tien). Based on this practical experience, CC1 is developing a roadmap to acquire and master key technologies such as TBM (Tunnel Boring Machine), tunnel boring techniques in urban areas, and the installation of underground rail systems, gradually enhancing its capacity to act as a general contractor in future metro projects.

Recently, CC1, in collaboration with the University of Technology – Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, held an opening ceremony for a specialized training program on high-speed rail and urban rail. This is a strategic move by CC1 to improve the skills of its engineering team and prepare a solid workforce for a series of next-generation transportation infrastructure projects, especially metro lines and high-speed rail – a sector expected to boom in the coming period.

During the meeting, representatives from YTL Construction shared an overview of the group's key areas of operation. YTL is currently one of the leading diversified conglomerates in Malaysia, operating prominently in several strategic sectors such as: construction and infrastructure general contracting (YTL Construction); high-speed rail system development with notable projects like the Express Rail Link and the Kuala Lumpur – Singapore High-Speed Rail (HSR) line; and cement and building materials manufacturing through major brands like YTL Cement and Eastern Pretech. In addition, the Group has expanded its investments into energy and utilities, telecommunications, real estate, and hospitality, gradually building a sustainable business ecosystem and establishing its international position regionally and globally.

According to a report by the Ministry of Construction, the North-South high-speed railway line is not only a solution to the infrastructure overload problem in major cities like Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, but also opens up a breakthrough space for socio-economic development, with an estimated construction market of over 75 billion USD. With its extensive experience, highly capable team of experts, and well-prepared investments in human resources and technology, CC1 is ready to participate in national-scale transportation infrastructure projects such as urban railways and high-speed railways, meeting the most stringent standards for quality, progress, and safety, gradually affirming its position as a strong Vietnamese contractor in the new infrastructure era.
