CC1 Meets with Chec to Discuss Collaboration on Key Infrastructure Projects

On the morning of November 11th, Construction Corporation No. 1 – JSC (CC1) held a working session with China Ports Construction Corporation (CHEC) to share experiences and strengths in technology and exchange opportunities for cooperation in developing large-scale infrastructure projects.

On CC1's side, the meeting was attended by Mr. Phan Huu Duy Quoc – Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Le Viet Hoai – Deputy General Director, and representatives from the technical and business development departments. On CHEC's side were Mr. Shi Jianya – Deputy General Director for South Asia, Ms. Zhang Zishi – Deputy Chief Representative in Vietnam, and several other experts and leaders.

In an open and professional atmosphere, both sides introduced their capabilities and shared experiences in implementing large-scale infrastructure projects, particularly in tunneling, underground construction, and urban metro lines. CHEC highly appreciated CC1's position and construction capabilities in key national projects, and also shared modern technologies currently being applied globally.

During the exchange, CC1 also affirmed its willingness to connect, introduce, and collaborate with partners on suitable projects, in the spirit of mutually beneficial and sustainable development.

Mr. Phan Huu Duy Quoc (center) – Chairman of the Board of Directors of CC1, shared the strengths and pioneering role of CC1 in tunneling technology for urban railway construction.

This event not only opens up opportunities for international connections but also affirms CC1's position as a pioneering Vietnamese contractor in the field of underground infrastructure and urban metro, ready to accompany major partners in the journey of building a modern, civilized, and globally integrated Vietnam.

Mr. Phan Huu Duy Quoc – Chairman of the Board of Directors of CC1, emphasized that CC1 is one of the few Vietnamese enterprises that masters the technology for constructing underground infrastructure and metro systems. This is exemplified by the construction of the two most important underground stations of Ho Chi Minh City Metro Line 1: the City Theatre Station and the Ba Son Station. The Ba Son Station was completed two months ahead of schedule, a vivid testament to the construction organization capabilities, project management, and the "progress is honor" spirit of the CC1 team.

In addition, CC1 is a pioneer in researching and adopting modern technologies such as TBM tunnel boring machines, welded rail systems, and high-speed signaling systems, which are important foundations for undertaking key national transportation projects.

Having spent nearly half a century constructing thousands of key projects, CC1 is accelerating its internal preparations to "conquer" a series of national mega-projects such as the North-South expressway, high-speed railways and urban railway systems in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, energy projects such as thermal power plants, nuclear power plants, wastewater treatment plants, and waste-to-energy projects…

With a long-term vision and pioneering spirit, CC1 is building a "future army of engineers" – a force of young, capable, creative individuals ready to assume core roles in large-scale projects.

Specifically, CC1, in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, launched the "Advanced Training Program on High-Speed Rail and Urban Railways," aiming to enhance the professional capacity of the company's engineers and technical staff. The program features instruction and mentorship from domestic and international experts who have directly participated in numerous large-scale infrastructure and railway projects.

Recently, CC1 and the Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement aimed at developing and attracting high-quality human resources. The agreement focuses on professional training, scientific research, and technology transfer, while promoting a sustainable cooperative relationship between one of the leading educational institutions in construction and CC1's professional working environment.

This is a strategic move by CC1 to develop high-quality human resources, strengthen practical capabilities, and prepare the internal strength to conquer future urban railway projects, high-speed rail projects, and key national infrastructure projects.
