On September 9, 2026, Construction Corporation No. 1 – JSC (CC1) held a kick-off event for its Professional Training Center and inaugurated the K01 Professional Training Course, marking a systematic step in CC1's development of high-quality professional human resources.
The new generation of engineers is ready to "go to war".
In the operation of a construction business, in addition to investing in technology, processes, and management systems, investing in the engineering team – especially their professional competence – is an investment in the foundation for the sustainable development of the business.
The establishment of the Vocational Training Center and the organization of the K01 Vocational Training Course is therefore not simply the beginning of a training program, but also aims to standardize and enhance knowledge, connect experiences, and develop professional capabilities for young engineers and trainee engineers at CC1.
The program was attended by the CC1 leadership team: Dr. Phan Huu Duy Quoc – Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Le Bao Anh – General Director, and other members of the Corporation's leadership team, representatives from the Human Resources and Support Management Division, representatives from specialized departments, experts, lecturers participating in the training program, and all trainees of the K01 Professional Training Course.

Currently, the construction industry is entering a new era, where people and technology are core elements in meeting quality standards for large-scale projects.
Sharing the importance of long-term human resource development, Mr. Le Bao Anh – General Director of CC1 – assessed that today's event is not just the opening of a training course, but officially launches a new approach in the strategy of developing technical human resources, thereby creating a proactive workforce ready to "combat" construction sites in any location across the country.

In the long term, CC1's needs go beyond simply assigning personnel; they must be the right fit, at the right time, and meet the same management standards. "The center must become a true hub for human resource development for the entire Corporation, from recruitment, training, practical experience, evaluation, to workforce deployment for CC1's projects. Nearly 50 students from the K01 course will lay the foundation for CC1's next generation of engineers," Mr. Le Bao Anh emphasized.

At the event, Dr. Phan Huu Duy Quoc – Chairman of the Board of Directors of CC1, emphasized that the program must be improved in stages. Training must be implemented effectively, avoiding formality, so that each officer and engineer can proactively learn and enhance their capabilities.
According to him, the spirit of "lifelong learning" needs to be maintained throughout the working process, not limited to young engineers but gradually expanded to other professional levels. The center also needs to diversify its programs, combine internal and external expert resources, and strengthen monitoring, guidance, and support so that workers can develop their capabilities comprehensively, aiming for independence in various tasks and meeting the new stringent requirements according to international standards in the construction industry.
Launchpad for high-quality QA/QC and QS human resources.
Mr. Cao Xuan Tuan – representing the internal teaching staff of the Center – emphasized that the training course does not aim to turn trainees into experts immediately, but focuses on building a foundation of accurate thinking and practical skills, creating momentum for the young generation of engineers to break through and contribute to the sustainable development of CC1.

Designed as a 12-month program, the CC1 Trainee Engineer Training Program builds a comprehensive development journey from foundational knowledge to specialized expertise and project practice. In the first six months, trainees are equipped with knowledge of corporate culture, HSE, soft skills, construction law, quality management, business thinking, and CC1's technology and digital transformation platforms; while also specializing in two areas: QA/QC and QS. Trainees will have the opportunity to directly intern at construction sites or in specialized departments, putting their knowledge into practical work.
During the final six months, the program focuses on assessing capabilities, conducting interviews, and assigning personnel to positions that match their skills, personal aspirations, and the practical needs of the projects.

A representative from CC1 affirmed that QA/QC and QS engineers play a crucial role in every project, directly ensuring the quality of construction, cost efficiency, and strict adherence to contractual commitments.
A good QA/QC engineer must identify risks before they become errors that affect the quality of the project. On the other hand, a good QS engineer must control quantities and costs, ensuring the company's interests are protected for each work item. Those in these positions must develop a "do it right" mindset from the start, manage rigorously using data, and take full responsibility for the results produced for the projects.

The core objective of this training strategy is to help CC1 master a high-quality workforce of QA/QC and QS engineers, ready to promptly supply them to key projects nationwide. Focusing on nurturing a new generation of young engineers not only strengthens superior execution capabilities at construction sites but is also a strategic step towards affirming the Corporation's sustainable position in the future.
The trainees in this program include many recent graduates from major universities in the South such as Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport, etc.
As one of the students in the K01 cohort, Bui Thi Hong Phuoc, majoring in Construction Economics at Ho Chi Minh City Open University, said that CC1 is not her first workplace, but it is a large construction company with a well-structured work process, so she really wants to stay there. Here, Phuoc has the opportunity to learn and hone practical skills that will benefit her future career path, while also enjoying the same benefits as a full-time employee.

“I plan to become a skilled QA/QC or QS engineer because this field has been experiencing a shortage of talent for many years. With high career prospects and attractive opportunities to gain experience at key projects and leading companies in the industry like CC1, it will be a springboard to help me realize my plans,” Phuoc added.
Nguyen Hoang Thai Duy – also a promising young engineer from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology – cherishes the opportunity to participate in the first trainee engineer training course. Thai Duy stated that with the in-depth knowledge gained from the courses taught by the internal instructors, he aspires to become a professional QA/QC engineer, working on large projects at various construction sites nationwide for CC1.

No matter how modern the machinery, how strong the finances, or how many contracts there are, these are still just tools and opportunities. It is people who transform those resources into real value. Therefore, enhancing the competitiveness of human resources and the direct workforce is the "strategic weapon" that determines the survival and sustainable development of a construction enterprise.
In the context of Vietnam's acceleration of mega-infrastructure projects such as high-speed rail and inter-regional transportation infrastructure projects, national energy projects, etc., standardizing and providing in-depth training for high-quality, technologically savvy human resources will help CC1 be ready to master complex projects and make strong breakthroughs in the new development phase – especially as CC1 is playing a major role in projects such as the Hanoi Capital Region Ring Road 4, Quang Trach I Thermal Power Plant, Cat Lai Bridge, Long Hung Bridge, etc.
