CC1 donates the COVID-19 Vaccine Prevention and Control Fund for Long An province


The Long An Vaccine Fund for COVID-19 Prevention and Control was officially launched yesterday morning, June 7 to call on the entire population to join hands in fighting against the pandemic.

Attending the launching ceremony were the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council – Nguyen Van Be; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee – Nguyen Van Ut and comrades leading the province, departments, and businesses.

Speaking at the launching ceremony of the Covid-19 Vaccine Fund, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Van Ut affirmed: Fighting Covid-19 is a long-distance battle and a vaccine is the decisive solution. With spirit anti-epidemic like anti-hijacking and the nation's traditional spirit of solidarity, of the nation, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee called on people, organizations and individuals inside and outside the province to actively respond to contribute to the province's Covid-19 vaccine and prevention fund.

This is the Fund of compassion, of solidarity, contributing to Long An's victory over the pandemic.

For community immunity, Long An needs more than 2.8 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine, vaccinating about 1,280,000 people; with an estimated total budget of 1,261 billion VND.

Facing an increasingly stressful and complicated situation, the mobilization of resources for pandemic prevention and control, including the purchase of vaccines, has become more urgent. In that spirit, the Long An COVID-19 Vaccine Fund was established carrying the mission to mobilize a combination of social contribution resources. The state budget will be shared in order to receive, manage and harness the funding, support, voluntary charity and vaccines from entities, individuals inside and outside the province for the purchase and usage activity of COVID-19 vaccines for local people.

At the launching ceremony, organizations, businesses and individuals registered to donate 22 billion VND and 71,000 vaccine doses, particularly Construction Corporation No. 1 – JSC actively responded to contribute the amount of 500 million VND to the provincial COVID-19 Vaccine Fund.
