On February 12 - 13, 2024 (ie the 3rd - 4th day of the Lunar New Year), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh led a Government delegation to inspect the progress of a key national project - Terminal T3 Project. – Tan Son Nhat International Airport, Ring Road 3 of Ho Chi Minh City (section passing Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City and Long Thanh Airport. At the same time, at the inspection, the Prime Minister also visited and wished the New Year CC1 workers are working during Tet at 3 construction sites.

On the afternoon of February 12, 2024, at the construction site of Terminal T3 - Tan Son Nhat International Airport, after inspection and listening to reports, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated the results achieved after 6 years. In the month of starting the station's construction (August 31, 2024), the project's shape is gradually clear, construction is up to the 3rd floor, the equipment procurement contract has been signed; The connection road invested by Ho Chi Minh City is also basically formed.

According to the report, the project has currently completed site clearance of more than 16 hectares according to the Government's resolution on removing obstacles in handing over defense land to the project.

CC1 and the contractor consortium mobilized over 400 vehicles, machines, equipment and 1,400 workers to simultaneously carry out work on the construction site. The overall progress of the project basically meets the plan, some contents are ahead of schedule. In particular, the workers on the construction site were very excited and happily worked through Tet, as well as on many key projects across the country, in accordance with the Government's guiding spirit of "only work, no backsliding." ", "overcoming sun and rain", working in 3 shifts, 4 crews, "eat quickly, sleep quickly".

Next, on February 13, 2024, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited and inspected the progress of the Ho Chi Minh City Ring 3 project. After 6 months of construction, the project reached plan, especially Dong Nai province needs to be accelerated. It is known that during the Lunar New Year, there are about 300 engineers and workers working on the entire route. Accordingly, the total volume of Ring Road 3 through Ho Chi Minh City reached more than 11%. In addition to the 4 construction packages under construction, the remaining 6 packages are receiving land, and after Tet, 10 packages will be constructed simultaneously. Projects through Binh Duong province reached 18% and Long An reached 25% in volume. Only the project through Dong Nai province reached 2% in volume. Regarding site clearance, projects through Ho Chi Minh City reached more than 98%, Long An reached 98%, Binh Duong 80%, Dong Nai alone reached 6%.

Ring Road 3 passes through Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Long An, phase 1 is more than 76 km long, with 4 highway lanes and parallel road, total investment nearly 75,400 billion VND. The project is divided into 8 component projects, each locality carries out two projects, including site clearance and construction.

Currently, the biggest challenge of the project is the material mine. The entire project requires 9.3 million m3 of sand for filling. 2024 is the peak year, so the entire project needs 6.4 million m3 of sand, of which Ho Chi Minh City needs 4.7 million m3. This year, localities set a goal in the first and second quarters to basically resolve sand leveling for the project. At the same time, accelerate all construction and installation packages on the entire route, striving to reach about 50% volume by the end of the year. This is to ensure that traffic will be open by the end of 2025, and that the two parallel roads will be completed by 2026, and the entire project will be put into operation.

After listening to the report, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh assessed that Ring Road 3 of Ho Chi Minh City is very important. If closed, it will ensure traffic connecting the Southeast with the Southwest and the Central Coast.

The project also connects key traffic points such as Tan Son Nhat airport, Long Thanh airport, Cai Mep Thi Vai port, and Can Gio port in the future. Ring Road 3 also connects 5 radial highways to different regions.

Therefore, the project must be completed soon to connect ongoing projects. The Prime Minister proposed to stick to the goal of completing the project. In particular, this year is determined to be the year of acceleration, 2025 is the year of breakthrough to basically complete and open the project by the end of 2025, and fully exploit the route in 2026.

On the same day, February 13, 2024, at the Long Thanh Airport construction site, the Prime Minister inspected the passenger terminal and runway. These are the two largest, most important and complex items in phase 1, which will be started simultaneously on August 31, 2023. It is known that the runway is 4,000m long and 75m wide, and the taxiway system (parallel taxiway, quick exit taxiway and connecting taxiway) is 44m wide.

Immediately after the groundbreaking ceremony, CC1 and the construction contractor consortium mobilized thousands of personnel and hundreds of equipment and machinery to serve the construction of the package. During Tet alone, CC1 and the contractor consortium still mobilized nearly 300 personnel on the construction site. At the project, there are 24 tower cranes operating around the clock to meet all crane and equipment transfer work across the entire project site.

At the three construction sites, the Prime Minister, on behalf of the Government, thanked CC1 engineers and workers and the contractor consortium for spending the Tet holiday with their families to closely follow the construction site for the development goals of Ho Chi Minh City and the country. country. The Prime Minister requested the Project Management Board to give worthy rewards to engineers and workers working during Tet.
