With only a few days left before the December 19th technical opening date, the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 construction site is entering its peak phase with a frantic, day-and-night pace of work. On the 14.7km elevated section on the eastern side, a key component undertaken by Construction Corporation No. 1 – JSC (CC1), hundreds of engineers, workers, and equipment are being mobilized to the maximum extent to ensure the road opens to traffic as directed by the Government.
According to the latest progress report, the 10 main packages of the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 have reached 68.11 TP2T of work, equivalent to over 11,200 billion VND in contract value. The 14.7 km elevated bridge through Thu Duc City alone has reached 851 TP2T, exceeding the schedule and meeting the requirements for technical opening on December 19th.

The prolonged rainy months have caused considerable difficulties in the implementation process, from structural construction to material mobilization. However, as December arrived, taking advantage of more favorable weather conditions, CC1 quickly activated its "sprint mode," organizing construction in 3 shifts and 4 teams, mobilizing maximum manpower and equipment to closely adhere to the technical opening schedule.
Mr. Nguyen Quang Vinh, Deputy Commander of Package XL4 at the Ring Road 3 project, shared: “Towards the December 19th deadline, the elevated section of the project will hand over the main items including the entire foundation, pier body and base, pier caps, girder installation and bridge deck, ensuring the technical conditions for traffic flow as required,” he said.
To achieve this goal, the construction site command maintained a 24/7 on-call system, even in unfavorable weather conditions, and organized construction using a 3-shift, 4-team model. Construction and acceptance work were implemented synchronously, in close coordination with relevant units, ensuring the quality of the project, labor safety, and environmental hygiene.
Simultaneously, CC1 and its subcontractors proactively increased their equipment capacity to approximately double that of normal operations, while also opening additional construction sites at key locations along the route following the project's Gantt chart. These solutions aimed to maximize favorable construction time, accelerate progress, and ensure that the planned milestones were met.
At the elevated bridge construction site, girder sections are continuously transported into installation positions by tractor-trailers. Workers are busily installing reinforcement steel, pouring concrete for the bridge deck, completing the railings, median strips, and other auxiliary items.
Currently, CC1 is deploying 8 construction teams, with approximately 120 workers working continuously, including overtime under the hot weather, and eating and resting right at the construction site to minimize travel time.
The Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 is a strategic infrastructure project with a total length of 76.3 km and a total investment of over 75,000 billion VND, playing a particularly important role in completing the inter-regional transport network of the Southeast region. Following the Prime Minister's directive, localities and contractors are making maximum efforts to bring the project to completion ahead of the deadline approved by the National Assembly.

In that overall picture, the image of CC1 engineers and workers toiling day and night on the construction site, with each bridge section gradually completed amidst the vibrant eastern part of Ho Chi Minh City, is a vivid testament to the construction organization capabilities, sense of responsibility, and resilience of a leading construction contractor.
As the December 19th deadline approaches, every meter of the completed elevated bridge represents not only a technical advancement but also CC1's commitment to accompanying key national projects and building the future transportation infrastructure of the country.
