CC1 and CHEIL ENGINEERING Sign MOU, Expanding Opportunities for Collaboration in the Green Energy Sector


On the afternoon of June 29, 2026, Construction Corporation No. 1 – JSC (CC1) held a meeting and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Cheil Engineering Co., Ltd. (Korea), opening up opportunities to explore and promote cooperation in the fields of green energy, renewable energy, and the development of environmentally friendly industrial projects.

Representing CC1 at the meeting were Mr. Nguyen Van Ngoc – Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Le Viet Hoai – Deputy General Director, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khoi – Director of the Economic and Construction Division, along with representatives from various departments. Representing Cheil Engineering were Mr. Joo Jin Woo – Executive Vice President, Mr. Kim Dong Hyunk – Director; Mr. Pyon Moo Youl – Chairman of the K-BIZNET External Cooperation Committee, and other members of the delegation.

The MOU signing ceremony between CC1 and Cheil Engineering took place on June 29, 2026.

During the meeting, representatives from Cheil Engineering presented an overview of the Rice Husk Biomass Power Generation Project and the Green Silica Production Project in Vietnam. Both sides discussed potential collaborations in developing biomass power plant projects using renewable resources from rice husks, and explored future cooperation directions in green energy, resource recycling, and project development.

The meeting focused on discussing opportunities for cooperation between the two sides.

During the meeting, representatives from both companies shared information about their respective capabilities, experiences, and development directions. The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) marks the beginning of a collaborative relationship between CC1 and Cheil Engineering, providing a foundation for further research, exchange, and evaluation of the feasibility of implementing projects that align with each company's strengths.

With over 46 years of experience in construction and investment, CC1 currently possesses the capacity to implement numerous large-scale projects in the industrial, energy, transportation infrastructure, and civil sectors nationwide. In particular, the company has demonstrated its capabilities as a general contractor in many key industrial and energy projects, meeting high technical requirements and stringent management standards. Besides construction activities, CC1 is also gradually expanding its role as an investor through various cooperation models such as PPP, BT, and strategic infrastructure projects, thereby further solidifying its position as a reputable construction and investment company in Vietnam.

With its proven capabilities demonstrated through numerous key national industrial and energy projects, CC1 continues to proactively expand its connections with international partners to seek cooperation opportunities aligned with its long-term development strategy, particularly in the fields of green energy and sustainable industry. Meanwhile, Cheil Engineering possesses expertise in developing technological solutions for biomass power generation projects and utilizing agricultural by-products, contributing to the promotion of a circular economy and energy transition.

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two parties marks the beginning of a process of exploring, exchanging, and researching cooperation directions based on leveraging the strengths of each enterprise. In the spirit of long-term partnership and cooperation, CC1 and Cheil Engineering will continue to evaluate development opportunities in the renewable energy sector and environmentally friendly industrial projects, contributing to promoting the goal of green infrastructure development and sustainable energy transition in Vietnam.
