CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION NO. 1 - JSC OFFICIALLY RECEIVES HANDING-OFF OF SAND MINING SUPPLY FOR CAN THO - HAU GIANG AND HAU GIANG - CA MAU HIGHWAY PROJECTS


On the morning of September 20, Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee officially handed over the sand mine on the Tien River in An Nhon commune, Chau Thanh district to Construction Corporation No. 1 - Joint Stock Company (CC1) which is constructing the section project. Can Tho - Hau Giang and Hau Giang - Ca Mau belong to the Eastern North - South expressway project for the period 2021 - 2025.

On CC1's side, there was the participation of Mr. Hoang Trung Thanh - Deputy General Director of the Transportation - Technical Infrastructure Division and management staff of the Corporation.

This is the first sand material mine handed over by Dong Thap province to exploit according to the mechanism of Resolution No. 43/2022/QH15 dated January 11, 2022 of the National Assembly and Resolution No. 18/NQ-CP dated January 11, 2022. February 11, 2022 of the Government. Construction Corporation No. 1 - JSC is the first contractor trusted by the Ministry of Transport and My Thuan Project Management Board to introduce to Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee as the focal point to carry out procedures for opening a new sand mine and exploiting the mine according to Document No. 50/UBND - DTXD dated February 17, 2023 of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee with a total reserve of about 1.52 million m3.

Mr. Tran Van Thi - Director of My Thuan Project Management Board (investor) said that the need for sand materials for road embankment of the Can Tho - Ca Mau expressway is very large (about 18.46 million m3).3), while the source of sand materials in the area is facing many difficulties, there is no effective alternative solution. Recently, the entire political system of Dong Thap province has been fiercely involved, implementing the directions of the Government and the Prime Minister in arranging material sources for the project, initially partially solving the problem. material difficulties.

Of which, the province has allocated 371,000m for the project3 from increasing the capacity of currently exploited mines and today, continuing to hand over the sand mine on the Tien River, supplying the project with reserves of about 548,000 m3.3.

The first sand material mine was assigned to the contractor by Dong Thap province.

In addition to the sand mine handed over today, Mr. Thi informed that My Thuan Project Management Board and construction contractors are continuing to coordinate closely with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Dong Thap province and related units to urgently complete the project. Complete procedures according to regulations in September for the remaining 4 mines introduced by Dong Thap province, with exploitation reserves of about 2.8 million m3 to be put into operation soon in October.

Along with increasing capacity to no more than 50% of mines being exploited to ensure supply for the project in 2023 is 3.3 million m3, Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee is continuing to review new mines in the province to introduce to contractors to survey and conduct mining procedures to ensure a sufficient supply of 7 million m3.3 sand for this expressway under the direction of the Prime Minister.

The handover of the sand mine will contribute to solving part of the difficulties in construction materials.

According to the plan, in 2023, the contractor consortium will complete 80% of output of construction bridges and reach 35% of the value of construction contracts. The project is expected to be basically completed in 2025 and put into operation from 2026.
