On the afternoon of May 11, 2025, representatives from Construction Corporation No. 1 – JSC (CC1) met and worked with China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC). The meeting provided an opportunity for both sides to share experiences and explore future cooperation.
Attending the meeting, on the CC1 side were Mr. Phan Huu Duy Quoc – Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Le Bao Anh – General Director, Mr. Dinh Van Hung – Deputy General Director, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khoi – Director of the Construction Economics Division, along with senior leaders from other departments and divisions. On the Chinese side were Mr. Chen Si Chang – General Director of CCECC, Mr. Guo Chong Feng – Deputy General Director of CCECC, Mr. Song Yu – Director of the Vietnam branch, and many managers and leaders at various levels.

CCECC is a subsidiary of China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC), one of the world's largest and most powerful integrated construction corporations. To date, with over 9,000 km of railways completed, CCECC accounts for 801% of China's total overseas railway construction projects.
Meanwhile, CC1, with 46 years of formation and development, has affirmed its position as one of Vietnam's leading construction contractors through a series of key national projects such as Tan Son Nhat T3 terminal, Long Thanh International Airport, the North-South expressways, Metro Line 1 (Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien), Thu Thiem bridge, package 4 - National Highway 5 upgrade project in the Kingdom of Cambodia…

During the exchange, leaders of CC1 and CCECC discussed future cooperation opportunities between the two companies, aiming to fully exploit existing potential and maximize the strengths of both sides. This meeting between CC1 and CCECC also demonstrated CC1's proactive preparation in many aspects to be ready to "seize" opportunities from key national projects.

Specifically, in the high-speed rail and urban rail sector, CC1 is researching and learning construction technologies from Japan, France, and China. Numerous professional activities to understand and share relevant technologies have been implemented, alongside the establishment of a strategic team to prepare for these projects.
In particular, CC1 proactively approached the nuclear power sector early on, building a solid professional foundation despite it being a new industry in Vietnam. With experience in constructing many large thermal power plants nationwide such as Phu My, Mong Duong 2, Nghi Son 1 and 2, Vinh Tan 4, BOT Van Phong 1, Na Duong II, etc., CC1 has a clear advantage when transitioning to the nuclear power sector, which requires complex technical, safety, and management expertise. However, CC1 continues to send key personnel to learn about nuclear power plant construction from Russia and Japan, understanding the specific technical requirements of nuclear thermal power plants to guide training.
For complex mega-projects, CC1 prioritizes joint ventures and partnerships with leading global contractors from Japan, South Korea, China, and Europe when necessary. This allows for collaborative support and learning from international partners, increasing the chances of winning bids on technically challenging and large-scale projects. Additionally, the company sends its engineers to attend training courses on EPC project management and the operation of modern construction machinery both domestically and internationally.
It is clear that CC1 has proactively "prepared one step ahead" in many aspects, from technology and human resources to partnerships. All of this is seen as a solid foundation so that when large-scale national projects are implemented, CC1 can confidently participate in the construction of iconic national projects, as a leading contractor in Vietnam.
