In the joyful atmosphere of celebrating the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day on September 2nd, 2025, Construction Corporation No. 1 (CC1) continues to affirm its role as a leading contractor in Vietnam by participating in the inauguration of many key infrastructure, cultural, and energy projects.
On that journey, August 19, 2025 – precisely on the 80th anniversary of the historic August Revolution – marked two outstanding projects, and the day before, CC1 also reached a significant milestone with a large-scale energy project.
Rach Mieu 2 Bridge was officially inaugurated on August 19, 2025.
Finished 5 months ahead of schedule, the Rach Mieu 2 Bridge, constructed with the participation of CC1, has become a new "backbone" link in connecting the Mekong Delta.
The project is located approximately 4 km upstream from the existing Rach Mieu Bridge, spanning over 17 km; the main cable-stayed span is nearly 2 km, with a width of 21.5 m for 4 lanes, designed for an operating speed of 80 km/h and a lifespan of up to 100 years.

The Rach Mieu 2 Bridge is expected not only to help alleviate traffic congestion on National Highway 60 but also to enhance traffic capacity and promote socio-economic linkages between urban areas and industrial zones in the Western region with Ho Chi Minh City and the Eastern coastal region.
The inauguration of Rach Mieu 2 Bridge continues CC1's series of projects completed ahead of schedule, affirming its capacity to organize and construct bridge and road projects with stringent technical requirements, while ensuring the highest standards of aesthetics and safety.
With a total investment of over 6,810 billion VND, the Rach Mieu 2 bridge is expected to help reduce traffic congestion and boost regional economic growth.
The Phu Tho Circus and Multipurpose Performance Hall commenced operations on August 19, 2025.
Located on Lu Gia Street (Ho Chi Minh City), the project has a total investment of nearly 1,400 billion VND, covers an area of over 10,000 m², is 57.5 m high, and comprises 2 basement levels and 12 above-ground floors.
The commissioning of this facility opens up a modern cultural institution for Ho Chi Minh City, serving artistic performances, training, conferences, exhibitions, cultural exchange, and tourism.
The main auditorium has a capacity of 2,000 seats, featuring a movable circular stage combined with a rectangular stage, integrated with a spiral lifting system to accommodate performances both on land and underwater; and synchronized intelligent sound and lighting according to international standards.
Structurally, the building utilizes a composite concrete-steel slab with spans up to 54 m, a floor-to-ceiling space of 24 m, and monolithic concrete pouring to ensure the highest level of quality, aesthetics, and safety.
Previously, the project was honored among the Top 50 outstanding projects in Ho Chi Minh City on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam, marking a step forward for CC1 in the segment of large-scale cultural and performance projects.
This also marks an important milestone in the process of completing a modern cultural infrastructure system, contributing to affirming Ho Chi Minh City's position as a leading cultural and artistic destination in the country and Southeast Asia.
First oil firing ceremony for Unit 1 of the Quang Trach I Thermal Power Plant project on August 18, 2025.
On August 18th, in Phu Trach commune, Quang Tri province, the Quang Trach I Thermal Power Plant project held the first oil firing ceremony for the boiler of Unit 1 – a significant technical milestone before starting the unit, aiming for synchronization by the end of 2025 and commercial power generation in 2026.
The first oil firing ceremony for Unit 1 marks a significant milestone for the Quang Trach I Thermal Power Project, aiming for synchronization by the end of 2025 and commercial power generation in 2026.
This is the first project CC1 has participated in as a joint venture EPC general contractor with Hyundai E&C Group (South Korea) and Mitsubishi Corporation (Japan).
The Quang Trach I Thermal Power Plant is expected to contribute approximately 1,200 billion VND per year to the state budget and create stable jobs for thousands of local workers. The integrated wastewater, exhaust gas, and dust filtration systems are designed to meet Vietnamese standards, equivalent to the standards of international financial organizations.
The milestone of the first oil firing ceremony for Boiler Unit No. 1 of the Quang Trach I Thermal Power Plant project acknowledges the "accelerated and breakthrough" efforts of the CC1 engineering and labor team, and affirms the company's capacity for construction organization and safety management in large-scale energy projects.
The project has a total investment of over 42,000 billion VND, comprising 2 generating units with a total capacity of 1,403 MW, applying supercritical fluid technology (USC), and is expected to produce over 9 billion kWh/year.
To fulfill its commitment to the project schedule, CC1 has mobilized maximum resources: increasing equipment, adding experienced personnel, and organizing simultaneous construction in 3 shifts and 4 teams working day and night. On-site activities are implemented systematically, scientifically, and flexibly to optimize time, ensure quality, and guarantee construction safety.
Simultaneously, the CC1 leadership and the site management team regularly organize visits to encourage and provide timely material support to the workers, further motivating the team of workers and engineers to persevere and stay at the construction site day and night.
The series of events in August 2025 demonstrated CC1's dynamic deployment pace across transportation infrastructure, cultural institutions, and energy projects.
From bridges spanning the waterways to world-class performance spaces and large-scale thermal power plant complexes, CC1 continues to affirm its role as a leading contractor in key national projects, steadfastly adhering to the principles of prestige, quality, and efficiency, making practical contributions to the sustainable development of the country.
