With just over a day left until the Long Thanh Airport mega-project officially conducts its first technical flight on December 19, 2025, the bustling construction atmosphere, from the office to the field departments of Construction Corporation No. 1 – JSC (CC1), demonstrates the readiness of the CC1 team to meet the deadline.
On December 15, 2025, after the Boeing 787, flight number VN 5001, took off from Tan Son Nhat Airport and landed safely at Long Thanh Airport during its technical test flight, it brought overwhelming joy to the team behind the mega-project. For the management and command staff of CC1 at the construction site, it was a historic moment, one that had taken more than two years to witness a plane successfully taxiing on an international-standard runway.

A truly moving moment, an indescribable surge of emotion amidst the dryness, scorching sun, and strenuous work on the construction site—a feeling perhaps only those who work day and night with the project can truly understand.
Before the words could even finish, the entire team returned to the hectic pace of work, from the office to the construction site. The hurried footsteps, the constant monitoring and supervision of construction areas, the urgent meetings to ensure seamless coordination between all parties to meet deadlines, along with words of encouragement and motivation… all created an atmosphere filled with the distinct sounds and emotions of construction workers.
On every square meter of the passenger terminal area, where the remaining items are being completed, sunlight reflects off the glass, illuminating the corridors and making the sweat on the construction site even more valuable. It can be affirmed that the CC1 team is wholeheartedly dedicated to their national mission, living in a historic moment thanks to this key project undertaken by CC1, a leading and reputable construction contractor in Vietnam.

Viewed from above, Long Thanh Airport resembles a fiery phoenix awaiting awakening, ready to welcome the first three official flights of Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet, and Bamboo Airways departing from Hanoi on the morning of December 19th.
Mr. Nguyen Van Trung, Deputy Director of the 5.10 Package Management Board, Construction Corporation No. 1 - JSC, at the Long Thanh Airport project, stated that the passenger terminal section of Long Thanh Airport, in which CC1 is participating, is currently at approximately 60% of overall progress.
By December 19, 2025, the contract package had completed the construction, acceptance, and handover of important items including reinforced concrete structure, steel structure, exterior glass system, aluminum roof and skylight roof of the station, except for some locations where hoists are being used to transport finishing materials.
Prior to the historic moment when the airport welcomed its first technical flight, CC1 increased manpower and equipment, organized overtime work, and accelerated the construction of key items such as steel structures, exterior glass, and jet bridges, while strictly controlling quality according to the construction methods approved by the investor…
Specifically, previously, the installation of the steel facade of the "Aircraft boarding bridge" only used 1-2 boomlift trucks. From mid-November 2025, manpower and machinery and equipment have been increased; accordingly, each "Aircraft boarding bridge" is equipped with 4-5 boomlift trucks to serve the installation of the steel facade. Simultaneously, the number of workers plastering the exterior has also been doubled compared to normal days.

At other packages such as 4.8 and 11.5 of Long Thanh Airport, the entire team is demonstrating high morale, actively working overtime shifts at night, and taking turns monitoring progress 24/7. Construction is being carried out simultaneously on all items, with continuous coordination between machinery, tower cranes, and personnel, taking advantage of the dry weather conditions at the large-scale project.

It is clear that each flight departing from Long Thanh Airport in the coming period not only carries the aspirations and beliefs of the construction team at the site, but also serves as clear evidence of the systematic organization and construction capabilities of the construction force, showcasing the courage, intelligence, and dedication of CC1 personnel on national-scale projects.
