On June 23rd, Construction Corporation No. 1 – JSC (CC1), in collaboration with the University of Transport and Communications – Ho Chi Minh City Branch (UTC2), successfully organized the Workshop “Prospects and Career Development for Civil Engineers”. The program provided students with practical insights into the profession and opportunities for direct networking with businesses. 

Attending the program, on behalf of UTC2 were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Bach – Head of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, along with faculty members representing various departments and faculties. On behalf of CC1, the attendees included Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khoi – Director of the Economics and Construction Division, Mr. Nguyen Le Minh – Head of Quality Management & HSE Department, Mr. Le Thanh Liem – Technical Advisor, Mr. Cao Xuan Tuan – Technical Expert, and other staff and specialists from CC1. 

Speaking at the event, Mr. Le Thanh Liem – Technical Advisor of CC1 – shared that, given the increasing demand for human resources to serve key infrastructure projects such as highways, bridges, and high-speed railways, the construction industry is opening up many great opportunities for young engineers.  

Mr. Liem highly appreciated the quality of training at UTC2 and shared that CC1 is always ready to create opportunities for students to access a real-world working environment, thereby accumulating experience, developing expertise, and having a clear direction for the future.

In the seminar "Prospects and Career Development Pathways for Civil Engineers," Mr. Cao Xuan Tuan – CC1 Technical Expert, shared many practical experiences on skills, mindset, development paths, and career opportunities for young engineers, while encouraging students to proactively learn and accumulate experience while still in school. 

Continuing the program, Mr. Nguyen Le Minh – Head of Quality Management & HSE Department CC1, presented the topic “Awareness of Quality Management in Construction Projects”. He emphasized the core role of quality management in ensuring the efficiency, safety, and sustainability of each project. Vivid real-world examples of quality assurance in large construction projects made the content more relatable and accessible to students. 

The workshop was lively in the auditorium, with a Q&A session and active interaction between students and speakers. Many practical questions were raised regarding professional skills, the work environment, and development opportunities in the construction industry in general and CC1 in particular, demonstrating the deep interest and eagerness of the future generation of young engineers. 

In addition to developing internal capabilities, CC1 also focuses on connecting with and supporting the future generation of engineers and architects through career guidance programs, recruitment, workshops, etc., at many leading universities nationwide. 

Recently, CC1 participated in the HAU Job Fair 2026 at Hanoi University of Architecture and the Job Fair organized by the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology - VNU-HCM, providing students with the opportunity to learn about the real working environment, recruitment needs, and career development orientation in the construction industry. 

Furthermore, CC1 also partnered with the 15th National Architecture Student Festival with the theme "Archinnovation – Architecture in the Technological Age," which took place last April in Ho Chi Minh City. The event brought together over 1,000 lecturers and students from 27 educational institutions nationwide, becoming a forum for networking, exchanging knowledge, and spreading the spirit of innovation in the field of architecture and construction. 

Through its continuous collaborations with numerous universities, CC1 continues to affirm its role as a leading enterprise always partnering with reputable training institutions in developing high-quality human resources for the construction industry. At the same time, it serves as an important bridge, helping students get closer to the business environment, accumulate practical knowledge, and be ready to participate in key projects in the future.
