On the morning of February 17, 2024, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai and other departments and branches came to check the project progress and visit workers at the construction site of the Phu Tho Circus and multi-purpose performance theater project. (District 11, Ho Chi Minh City) by a joint venture of Construction Corporation No. 1 - Joint Stock Company (CC1) and Luu Nguyen Construction Company Limited as the construction contractor and supply and installation of equipment for the project.

The Phu Tho Circus and multi-purpose performance construction project was approved in October 2019, starting on April 25, 2023 with a total investment capital of nearly 1,400 billion VND. The project has 14 floors (2 basement floors and 12 aboveground floors) including auditoriums, stages, practice rooms, training and circus animal areas, restaurants... with a capacity of 2,000 seats and a multi-purpose training room with 300 seats.

This is one of the city's 50 key projects to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and reunification of the country. Therefore, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai requested relevant units to closely follow the progress so that the project can be put into use on time and organize the first art performance on the occasion of the 30th holiday. Faced with problems during project implementation regarding the import of materials, specifically the lack of timely transportation of imported steel to the project, the Investor's representative proposed that the city consider supporting the project. project in importing supplies, materials, machinery and equipment to be circulated during daytime hours along appropriate routes.

Speaking at the inspection session, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai said that the city will create maximum conditions for project implementation and will issue permits for concrete trucks to serve the project. For the transportation of super-long and super-heavy structures, if necessary, the city will organize support forces.

At the meeting, the representative of the contractor consortium, Mr. Pham Canh Dong - Deputy General Director of Civil Construction of Construction Corporation No. 1 - Joint Stock Company (CC1) said that the project will be constructed continuously in 3 shifts. to ensure project progress. With current progress, the project will be completed and put into use in April 2025.

According to Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai, there is more than 1 year left to complete the project, so all stages of construction, equipment installation and human resource training need to be synchronized both internally and externally. Because this is a key cultural project of the city, all relevant units need to focus their efforts to bring the project to its destination.
