CC1 strengthens international cooperation and reinforces internal capacity for key projects.

CC1 is taking solid steps in human resource training, international cooperation, and technology investment… to continue participating in key infrastructure projects of the country.

In the context of Vietnam preparing to implement key projects and boosting public investment such as the North-South high-speed railway, urban metro systems, energy and high-tech projects, Construction Corporation No. 1 - JSC (CC1) is proactively expanding cooperation with international partners and strengthening its human resources, technology, and financial capabilities.

The company recognizes this as a necessary preparatory step to meet increasingly stringent technical requirements and to participate more deeply in the nation's strategic infrastructure project chain.

Emerging as a professional international contractor.

Despite the many challenges in the construction market, CC1 has outlined a 3-year strategic direction (2025-2027) with a broad vision and strong determination from the leadership and the entire system. In this direction, CC1's growth drivers are not limited to the domestic market; it also advocates for joint ventures and partnerships with leading contractors from Japan, South Korea, China, and Europe when participating in complex projects.

This approach not only expands cooperation opportunities but also allows CC1 to access new technologies, high technical standards, and modern management methods. Over the past year, CC1 has expanded its network to nearly 100 international partners from various continents to exchange experiences in investment, transportation infrastructure development, key projects, and renewable energy.

Furthermore, CC1's international cooperation network continues to expand, encompassing investors, general contractors, technology suppliers, and equipment partners. The company has collaborated with CCECC on projects related to climate change adaptation and environmental infrastructure; signed a cooperation agreement with Hyundai Engineering for high-tech civil and industrial projects; signed an MOU with YTL Group to focus on key transportation infrastructure projects; partnered with CDE in sand processing technology; promoted the "digital construction site" and "greening" trends with SANY; and served as the main contractor for WHA's industrial park project in Thanh Hoa…

CC1 also participates in large-scale EPC projects with international partners, while gradually preparing the foundation for exporting construction services to international markets. This strategy reflects the goal of expanding its scope of operations and approaching the standards of international contractors.

In the industrial and EPC sectors, CC1 has made remarkable strides. From a position as a peer partner with international general contractors, the company has risen to become a leader and is gradually elevating its role in prestigious consortiums, accumulating experience in large-scale projects requiring complex coordination. One of the most notable achievements is its participation in the EPC general contractor consortium for the Quang Trach I Thermal Power Plant with Hyundai E&C and Mitsubishi Corporation…

“In the coming period, CC1 will continue to affirm its position as a strategic partner, possessing the capacity to lead international EPC general contractor consortiums in key projects. In particular, the Corporation is focusing on perfecting and standardizing the EPC model through strengthening cooperation with leading technology corporations and continuously improving the quality of its personnel.”

"The central goal in the coming period is to optimize project management processes on a digital platform, closely integrating with ESG standards to meet the increasingly high expectations from international clients and investors," shared Mr. Le Bao Anh, General Director of CC1.

Over more than 46 years of formation and development, CC1 has not only gradually affirmed its capabilities in key national infrastructure projects, but has also made strong preparations, expanded international cooperation, and proactively secured resources to become a professional international contractor.

A solid foundation to accelerate towards the future.

Alongside international cooperation, CC1 focuses on enhancing its internal capabilities. The company promotes the training of engineers and project managers according to international standards; sends engineers to participate in training courses on EPC project management and operation of modern construction equipment both domestically and abroad; and recruits experts who have participated in Metro projects in Ho Chi Minh City and experts with experience in nuclear power training in Russia to work at CC1.

In the field of urban rail, CC1 is one of the domestic enterprises directly involved in the construction of important components of Metro Line 1 (Ben Thanh – Suoi Tien), including the two underground stations, City Theatre and Ba Son. Undertaking these components demonstrates CC1's capacity to implement complex technical infrastructure projects.

The field trip to observe the operation and management of Metro Line 1 is part of CC1's intensive training program on "High-Speed Rail - Urban Rail".

Following that process, CC1 organized numerous professional activities to research construction technologies from Japan, France, and China; simultaneously, it established a dedicated strategic team and sent engineers to participate in intensive railway training programs. The company also collaborated with Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology to implement specialized training courses, contributing to strengthening its technical foundation and investing heavily in resources for future projects.

For the nuclear power sector, a field with particularly stringent technical and safety requirements, CC1 has sent key personnel to study the experience of building nuclear power plants from Russia and Japan to guide appropriate training. This is seen as a long-term preparation to avoid being caught off guard when high-tech energy projects are implemented.

In the technology sector, since 2022, CC1 has been implementing a digital transformation program with the goal of completing a comprehensive digital ecosystem by 2027. The application of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in key projects has significantly optimized steel usage, thereby improving economic efficiency and construction management.

The company also collaborated with Bentley Systems to apply Plaxis geotechnical software in underground works and deep excavations. In addition, the implementation of automation and AI in data processing helps reduce manual resources and increase accuracy in project management.

Alongside its technical capabilities and construction experience, CC1 is also gradually perfecting its management model towards a modern approach, suitable for the requirements of large-scale and highly complex projects. The company focuses on improving operational capacity, standardizing project management processes, and building a synchronized operational platform to meet the increasingly stringent standards of key infrastructure projects in the new phase of national infrastructure development.

With a focus on expanding international cooperation while simultaneously strengthening domestic capabilities, this preparation aims not only to enhance the ability to master key domestic projects, with the goal of elevating the position of CC1 – a Vietnamese construction enterprise – in the regional and international value chain, but also to become a "golden stepping stone" in the nation's era of progress.

On March 21, 2026, CC1 will hold its 2026 Technical Conference with the theme “Improving Road Construction Quality: From Practice to Solutions”. This event is not merely an internal exchange forum; it is also a practical demonstration of CC1's core competencies and vision in standardizing technical knowledge, mastering cutting-edge technologies, and enhancing the quality of its core workforce.
