On March 21, 2026, Construction Corporation No. 1 – JSC (CC1) held its 2026 Technical Conference with the theme: “Improving the Quality of Road Construction – From Practice to Solutions”. The event reflected CC1's orientation towards raising technical standards, promoting technology, and standardizing implementation for infrastructure projects in the new phase.

Improve process standardization and quality control from the source.
Taking place amidst a booming infrastructure construction industry with increasingly demanding requirements, the conference is not only a forum for professional exchange but also a concrete step for CC1 in standardizing knowledge, enhancing technical capabilities, and gradually modernizing construction operations.
The conference was attended by Mr. Phan Huu Duy Quoc – Chairman of the Board of Directors of CC1, Mr. Le Bao Anh – General Director of CC1, along with representatives from the Board of Directors, a team of experienced engineers, managers, and experts, representatives from member companies, and invited guests from domestic and international businesses. One of the highlights of the CC1 Technical Conference 2026 was the presentations that directly addressed existing problems on construction sites, thereby clarifying the nature of the quality issue in road construction.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Le Bao Anh – General Director of CC1, remarked that the construction industry has entered a new phase – no longer accepting "good enough" but demanding higher standards, with products needing to be of higher quality and more efficient. For CC1, if the company wants to undertake larger projects, it needs to implement truly transformative applications.
“The conference aims to directly address the current state of construction capacity, technological updates, and new solutions. The presentations, integrating research, internal experience, and knowledge from foreign experts, will contribute to providing answers to improve construction quality, innovate techniques, and increase implementation efficiency, creating real transformation on construction sites,” he emphasized. According to Mr. Bao Anh, the conference is not only an opportunity to share professional experience but also an important step in standardizing knowledge, raising implementation standards, and building a culture of continuous learning throughout the CC1 system.

Opening the conference with a presentation titled "Solutions to Improve the Quality of Construction of Subbase and Superbase Layers," Mr. Le Thanh Liem – Assistant to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of CC1 – stated that the quality of a construction project is determined by the roadbed, subbase, and superbase layers. If these layers are not uniform, damage will occur during the operational phase. Therefore, CC1 approaches technology as a comprehensive solution system to fundamentally address the quality issue and enhance the durability of the project.

From a management perspective, the problem of material loss, especially sand and stone, in highway projects is a systemic issue. Mr. Le Tuan Anh – Director of the Dong Thap Branch, pointed out that losses do not only occur at the construction site but also start from the extraction and transportation stages to the construction organization. Therefore, the proposed solutions are synchronous: controlling at the source, improving standards, optimizing construction organization, and enhancing control data…

In his presentation "Improving Coordination and Quality Control in Road Construction: Current Situation and Solutions," Mr. Tran Van Pha, Director of Construction at CC1, proposed key solutions such as strict control over each structural layer, ensuring continuous and synchronized construction workflows, and strengthening coordination in a proactive manner with clear responsibilities. According to Mr. Pha, the direction should shift the QA/QC system from "control" to "prevention," through establishing quality plans from the project's inception, standardizing processes, and enhancing training.

Expanding solutions from technology and materials to smart construction.
Besides standardizing practices, the conference also broadened perspectives to include technological solutions and international trends, revealing the long-term direction of the infrastructure construction industry. For CC1, technology is gradually becoming a new pillar in improving construction quality.

Presentations from partners such as Taisei Rotec shared expertise on sustainable construction materials and technologies, while SANY Heavy Industry introduced a construction model using smart equipment clusters, contributing to improved accuracy and project efficiency. Simultaneously, new material solutions such as polymer resins, fiber additives, and asphalt concrete recycling technologies were also considered important directions for enhancing durability and optimizing costs.

Notably, the theme "Smart Road Construction Technology Solutions" is considered one of the most noteworthy highlights of this year's conference. This content not only suggests a new approach to road construction but also demonstrates the trend of integrating construction techniques, data, smart devices, and site management.
While road construction was previously primarily viewed from the perspective of organizing manpower, materials, and machinery according to traditional models, smart road construction technology offers a different approach: more data-driven management, greater process optimization, and increased accuracy in decision-making right on the construction site. This is also a direction that aligns with the "digital construction site" trend that large construction companies are gradually pursuing.
Through the connection between practice, technology, and management, the 2026 Technical Conference clearly demonstrates CC1's direction in building a unified technical knowledge system. This is not only a place to share experiences, but also an opportunity to standardize processes, spread data-driven thinking, and gradually enhance the capabilities of its engineering team. Through this, CC1 continues to affirm its commitment to modernizing the enterprise, creating conditions for its personnel to access and master advanced technologies, ready to meet the increasingly high demands of large-scale infrastructure projects. Therefore, the Technical Conference is not just a professional activity, but also a strategic step in the journey of enhancing the sustainable implementation capabilities of the enterprise.
