ADMIRE THE PANORAMIC VIEW OF RACH MIEU 2 BRIDGE BEFORE ITS INAUGURATION.

The Rach Mieu 2 Bridge, a project in which Construction Corporation No. 1 (CC1) participated in construction, was ready for inauguration on August 19th, having been completed 5 months ahead of schedule. This achievement once again affirms the prestige and stature of CC1, extending the list of key projects completed ahead of schedule by the enterprise over the past 46 years.

Earlier on August 7th, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, during a site visit, acknowledged the outstanding efforts of the contractors and requested the Ministry of Construction to prepare a commendation dossier. He emphasized that the Rach Mieu 2 bridge plays a "backbone" role in connecting transportation in the Mekong Delta region, creating momentum for socio-economic development and promoting cooperation between localities.

With a total investment of over 6,810 billion VND, the Rach Mieu 2 bridge is expected to reduce traffic congestion and boost regional economic growth.

The existing Rach Mieu Bridge is frequently overloaded due to the ever-increasing traffic volume, especially during holidays and Tet (Lunar New Year). The appearance of Rach Mieu Bridge 2 will not only alleviate congestion and create a smooth traffic flow between Vinh Long and Dong Thap, but also open a new chapter for the entire Mekong Delta region.

Besides shortening travel time and minimizing traffic risks, the Rach Mieu 2 bridge also ignites hopes for the development of the urban-industrial chain in the Western region, expanding connectivity with Ho Chi Minh City and the Eastern region.
The Rach Mieu 2 Bridge is a long-awaited project for people in the Mekong Delta, facilitating the flow of goods and boosting regional economic development.

The Rach Mieu 2 Bridge is considered a key project, commemorating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd. Spanning the tranquil Tien River, the bridge is located approximately 4 km upstream from the existing Rach Mieu Bridge and stretches for over 17 km.

The project starts from Dong Tam intersection (formerly in Tien Giang province) and connects to National Highway 60 (formerly in Ben Tre city), opening up a new vital route for transportation and development in the Mekong Delta region.
The main bridge spanning the Tien River is designed as a cable-stayed bridge, nearly 2 km long, 21.5 m wide with 4 lanes, and has an operational lifespan of up to 100 years.
The main spans, over 1.9 km long, are designed using a modern cable-stayed structure, with towers reaching 113 m in height, allowing for operation at speeds of 80 km/h.
The project is massive in scale, constructed using cutting-edge techniques, requiring a high level of expertise, complex construction processes, and absolute precision in every detail.
This is considered one of the most technically demanding bridge and road projects in the Mekong Delta.
Construction on the Rach Mieu 2 bridge began in 2022 and has been identified by the Ministry of Transport as a key infrastructure project for the region.

Besides the Rach Mieu 2 Bridge, CC1 also undertakes the construction of other key projects such as the Can Tho – Ca Mau Expressway, the Chau Doc – Can Tho – Soc Trang Expressway, the East-West Boulevard (in the former Ben Tre City), the Rach Vong Bridge, the Dai Ngai 2 Bridge, etc. With extensive experience and a solid reputation, CC1 continuously participates in the largest-scale projects in the Mekong Delta, contributing to creating a new transportation landscape for the Southwestern region of Vietnam.

Particularly in the bridge construction category, CC1 has made its mark with a series of bridges of technical and historical value such as Thu Thiem Bridge, the new Dong Nai Bridge, Van Thanh 2 Bridge, Hoa An Bridge, Ngu Hiep Bridge, An Hao Bridge, Dai Ngai 2 Bridge… At the same time, CC1 is currently undertaking the construction of the pedestrian bridge over the Saigon River – a new iconic project of Ho Chi Minh City.

The inauguration of the Rach Mieu 2 Bridge serves as a vivid testament, extending this series of achievements and adding another important milestone to Vietnam's infrastructure map. Each completed bridge span not only connects the two banks of the river but also reinforces CC1's role as a leading contractor in the construction of bridge and road projects.

In this new era, CC1 has not only become a leading Investment and Construction Group in Vietnam but has also strived to become a professional international contractor, adapting flexibly and moving quickly to meet all stringent requirements. Its 46-year journey has forged the resilience to conquer large-scale infrastructure projects, creating a modern and sustainable image for the country.
